Iran-USA

My parents moved here with my oldest sister so that my dad could pursue a PhD. They had planned on going back, but after the Iranian Revolution began they decided that staying in the US was a better option for raising my sisters.

Why did your family come to the United States? Educational Opportunity.

What would the U.S. be missing out on if you or your people were banned? The sweetest retired 5th grade teacher-turned grandmother there ever was, and a man who knows way, way too many fun facts thanks to PBS. My parents, just as so many others affected by this ban, have only ever made this country a better place with their presence.
