My dad left Karachi, Pakistan in 1970's at the age of 18 to study aeronautical engineering in Queens, New York, jumping into the complete unknown. He was unable to continue his education due to him working two jobs to support himself while attending school. He worked and lived in Florida, Tennessee, and Illinois before finally settling in San Diego, California. My mother moved to the U.S. from Pakistan shortly after marrying my father

Why did your family come to the United States? To seek better opportunities for themselves and their children.

What would the U.S. be missing out on if you or your people were banned? Mango lassi and samosas.
